I first met Khalid over a year ago. When we met I knew he had something special to share with the world. I remember him showing me on his phone one of his art works and being amazed at its beauty. I feel incredibly blessed to now be working with Khalid at our Flow Connect Create events, where, alongside Leila, we share our unique practices of Shake & Flow, Yoga Nidra, Reconnective Healing Energy and Art Therapy.
- Tell us about your journey to where you are today?
I’m an artist who has a passion for painting and its ability to translate my soul on a canvas .
At some point I had an inspiration to teach others what I’ve learnt about art .
I acted on that thought which I indeed took the right trainings and certificates that helped me convey my message to the people who needs it.
- What inspired you to become an Artist? And to then become a Therapeutic Art Coach?
I’ve always had an artist within me since a young age . It was my go to method to express my thoughts and emotions through the medium of colors.
I was keeping the art hiding within me and practicing for myself till I thought perhaps I could help others experience how powerful art can be the way it is for me .
That motivated to find the way to utilize art as a tool to connect with others and lead them to their true essence.
- Tell us a little more about what you do as part of Flow Connect Create.
I help participants gain better confidence in creating art pieces that work as a doorway to understanding themselves on a deeper level and teach them to deal with undesirable emotions .
- What are some of the benefits of attending this event?
An expansion of awareness to the self
Provides Stress Relief
Nurtures emotional growth
Promotes positive attitude
- Tell us something about yourself that no one would ever guess?
That’s a fun question!
Usually people never know that I actually have an engineering degree , which I actually earned .
And I think in life you keep on experimenting till you find what means the most to you , besides you can have more than one purpose and it’s alright !
